Black Connection began its journey 20 years ago, as a monthly support group for Black Gay/Bi men, hosted by sadly missed, LGBT Mental Health Charity, PACE.

The original idea behind re-establishing Black Connection was to organise monthly social spaces where older Black Queer men could meet, network, and socialise.

Then COVID-19 Came...

In response to the 1st national lockdown in March last year, a WhatsApp group was set up, as a way to help group members stay connected during lockdown.

Quickly, the group  grew to over 50 members, both inside and outside of London and by the end of June 20 a Management Committee, Safeguarding Policy & Constitution were established.
